DESMOND DIGGS, FOUNDER / PRINCIPAL
Desmond Diggs is the Principal and Founder of Merit Education Services. He was a recipient of the prestigious Bill and Melinda Gates Millennium Scholarship as well as dozens of local and national merit based scholarships. He holds degrees in International Education Development and English Literature from the University of Pennsylvania and Morehouse College respectively. He is a past Wharton Social Impact Fellow, Student Financial Services Advisory Board Member and an active member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. Desmond was also the inaugural recipient of the Kwane Nkrumah Distinguished Alumni Award for his work to advance equitable education environments on the Continent. Desmond began his career as an educator as a teacher and founded TeachForLiberia.org where he served as its Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer. He leads a dedicated team who champion a low and no cost higher education movement globally.
